The Soldiers of Legend is a clan that takes is rules very seriously. Anyone that joins the league must be willingly and loyally wishing to join. Because of this, this page is for all members / non-members to see the rules and regulations for each game that the Soldiers of Legend sponsors and as well the Soldiers of Legend Constitution.

Preamble:
We the Leaders of the Soldiers of Legend in order to form a better gaming community do hereby establish the Soldiers of Legend Code of Conduct to ensure clan wide tranquility, a clear, solid structure and ordain this code for the betterment of the Soldiers of Legend.
Article I : The Commanding, Executive, and 2nd Executive Officer
The Leaders of the Soldiers of Legend shall administer the day-to-day operations and management of the clan, as well as any other needs that should arise requiring it’s attention. The Leaders of the League shall consist of a Commanding Officer, an Executive Officer, and a 2nd Executive Officer. If a Leader is either on Leave or is missing, then that Leader’s position will remain to him until he is contacted and the 2nd Executive Officer will be given temporary command.
In the event that one of the Leaders is requesting to Retire his position as Leader, then the person ranking lower than him will be given position. Ultimately however, it is the Commanding Officer’s decision on who of the lower rankings will be given the specific position. If it is the Commanding Officer that is retiring, then the Executive Officer will choose a suitable 2nd Executive Officer.
Article II : The Department of Enlisted Affairs
Section 1 : Recruitment into Soldiers of Legend
All new recruits must fill out a Recruitment Form in the Enlistment page of the website. After emailing, the Recruiter will come to the recruit and go under the revision of the recruit’s skills, leadership abilities, etc… The recruit will then be given a rank and will be required to wear the full tags in forums and all games. The recruit will not be required to create a new account if he has already created one. The Recruit must change his name himself with the required [-Sol-]Rank-Name format, or an Administrator can change it for him. After all of this is finished, the Recruiter will post in the Recruitment Section of the forums about his new recruit.
Section 2 : Recruitment Levels
All recruits are to be recruited at no higher than the rank of E-1, Private. No one else can be given a higher rank than that of Private without the direct authorization of the CO, XO, or 2XO.
Section 3 : Promotions
All promotions can only be given by the CO, XO, or 2XO of the League. No one else can authorize a promotion. No member of a Junior or Senior ranked officer rank can be given a two-rank promotion. All Junior and Senior ranked members can only be given a promotion a minimum of one promotion every month.
All Non-Commissioned Officer ranks are considered Enlisted ranks and can be given two rank promotions if the Leaders see fit. This is the only Level that can have two rank promotions.
Section 4 : Demotions
All demotions can only be given by the CO, XO, or 2XO of the League. No one else can authorize a demotion. A Leader can give a demotion to whatever rank they feel.
Section 5 : Removal from the Clan
Any member who is charged with serious crimes and removed of the clan will no longer be considered a member of the Soldiers of Legend. All records of this member will be erased and his existence in the League will not exist. The person’s Teamspeak account will be deleted, his IP will be banned, and his Forums account will be removed.
Article III : The Department of Internal Affairs
Section 1 : Function of the Internal Affairs
The Internal Affairs is responcible for maintaining the balance of tranquility within the Clan. They are the ones that moderate the clan as a Military Police Force. If there is any problems between members, then an Officer is sent to investigate and bring the results to the XO or CO of the Clan. From there, a decision will be made. If there is a fight between members, regardless of the rank, then the Officer has authority to break it up and report it to a superior.
Section 2 : Rights of Members in the Soldiers of Legend
All members under the Soldiers of Legend have the following rights given to them:
– The right of freedom of speech;
(Does not protect mutinous talk or falsifications or other related issues)
– The right to freely make suggestions;
– The right to make improvements to the clan through polls;
– The right to vote in Sol polls;
– The right to fair and equal treatment.
Section 3 : The Ex Post Facto Law
At any time a portion of this Constitution is amended. The law that is created cannot be condoned on any member for doing the act in the past before the law was created.
Section 4 : Security of the Soldiers of Legend
All members are required to have a detailed enlistment form filled out. These forms act as security detailed listings of each member’s backgrounds. Any member who gives any kind of false documents is given an immediate security review. All members are also to be registered to the Forums in thier tags. Anyone who is not registered in proper Soldiers of Legend Tags will not be added to the manifest.
Any member who is found to be a spy, that person does not have a right to a free and fair trial and will be automatically removed from the clan.
Section 5 : Rejoining the Soldiers of Legend
Anyone who has been removed from the Soldiers of Legend will not at any time be allowed to rejoin the Soldiers of Legend without a Leader’s consent. Whenever someone who was removed is given the chance to rejoin, that person will rejoin as a new member and not regain any kind of liberties given from his last membership.
Anyone who has resigned from the Soldiers of Legend and wishes to join again may join, however, that person will have a 1-rank drop because of it. All 2nd Time offenders will be denied membership in the Soldiers of Legend. After 6 months, if they decide they wish to join, then they must join according to Paragraph I of this Section.
Article IV : The Department of Foreign Affairs
Section 1 : Diplomatic Relations of the Soldiers of Legend
The diplomacy department is responsible for all relations with other clans. The diplomatic department may pursue diplomatic relations at will unless the Leaders has specified otherwise. In order to ratify a diplomatic document, the document shall have received a minimum of three signatures by either the CO/XO of the D.F.A. or the Leaders of the League. At any time, the Leaders may declare war on a clan, The CO of Diplomacy will oversee all actions regarding diplomacy and Will make a weekly report to the Leaders. Should the CO of Diplomacy go on a leave, the Division XO will take command.
Section 2 : Alliance / Full Alliance
All Alliances and Full Alliances can only be authorized by the Leaders of the Clan and the diplomat that worked on the alliance. There must be a majority of two to authorize the document of Alliances. To receive a Full Alliance, there is no extra document needed, but simply a sign of the friendship between the two clans.
Article V : The Chain of Command
Section 1 : Marine Rank Structure
It is expected of all Soldiers of Legend members to respect the rank structure and obey the rules of all those who are higher than them. Anyone who disobeys any serious orders by a superior is given a Count Marshall and appears in front of the Leaders and given a punishment. The Rank Structure of the Soldiers of Legend is as followed:

Section 2 : Leadership Responsibilities
At anytime a member is given head of a certain department, or Leadership command, then that person becomes head of those who is higher rank than him in that division.
Section 3 : Obeying the Chain of Command
The Soldiers of Legend operates as a Military Based Dictatorship. All Junior Officers are to report about issues to their Senior Officers, and then the Senior Officers report to the Executive Officer of the League. Depending on the situation, the Executive Officer will report to the Commanding Officer.
Section 4 : Tags
All Members in the Soldiers of Legend should at all time wear their tags in game. Tags must be worn in forums as well. The Correct tags is as follows:

Anyone who is not wearing a rank will be given a warning. Anyone refusing to wear a rank will be removed from the clan.

Article VI : Multi-Clanning
All members of the Soldiers of Legend can at no-time ever multi-clan in any clan. Anyone who is caught Multi-Clanning will be either removed or given a warning to end all contact with the clan that they have joined. At no time shall any member of Sol ever wear tags that are not Sol in games. This too will be either a warning or removal from Sol.
Article VII : Membership Conduct
Section 1 : Conduct in Forums
At no time shall anyone ever disobey the rules of the Forums. Any guest who disobeys the rules of the Forums will be banned by use of IP Banning. If the person who was banned would like to get back on the forums, then that person must ask an Admin.
Section 2 : Conduct in Teamspeak
At no time shall anyone ever disobey the rules of Teamspeak. Any guest who disobeys the rules of the Teamspeak will be banned by use of IP Banning. If the person who was banned would like to get back on the Server, then that person must ask an Admin.
Section 3 : Conduct in Gamespy Arcade
At no time shall anyone ever disobey the rules of Gamespy Arcade. At no time shall anyone from the Soldiers of Legend flame either each other or others in the lobby. If someone is flaming a member of the Soldiers of Legend, then that person is required to use the ignore feature for the individual.
Section 4 : Conduct in Games
At no time shall anyone ever disobey the rules of the game that they are playing. At no time shall anyone from the Soldiers of Legend flame either each other or others in the game. Anyone who violates the rules that are established in the individual game rules will be given a court-marshall.
Section 5: General Conduct
– General Conduct
– Be polite to other members and to visitors on our servers, if you find you cannot tolerate being with someone without causing tension, leave the server until he or she leaves and/or do not respond to their posts.
– There is NO multiclanning at any time in the Soldiers of Legend. If you want to join another clan, post your resignation on the forums, and we will not hold it against you.
– Do not impersonate members or guests.
– The Soldiers of Legend tags are [-Sol-]Rank-Name
– Chain of Command
– The Chain of Command is made to insure the smooth operation of the clan.
– There is a Chain of Command for a reason. For a problem in a game, go to that Division’s CO or XO. For problems on the site, talk to the head of the web team.
– Officers do not like when someone jumps over them on a matter that they could handle, and likewise, the leader of the clan does not enjoy having to deal with everything. Make sure you go to the proper person for the job.
– Forums
– You only get one account on the forums, this is to help us identify if you are being impersonated and helps keep the members list accurate.
– Do not post spam in the forums, unless it is in the spam area.
– Do not post inappropriate content on the forums. If you would not show it to your parents, do not post it on the forums.
– Keep your forum profile updated, as it is what is used for promotions. The Command Staff may give you thr same promotion twice if your profile is not correct.
– In-Game
– If you hack in a game, you will be removed from the League with no questions asked.
– There is no intentional teamkilling on our servers unless it is provoked. This does not always apply if it is in good faith and not an actual game.
– Do not intentionally block doorways and teammates line of fire.
– Do not prevent your team from completing objectives.
– Do not spam the chat or voice commands.
– Teamspeak
– Do not use excessive inappropriate language on Teamspeak.
– You only get one account on Teamspeak.
– Make sure that your microphone does not stay open when you are not talking.
– Do not post inappropriate links on the bottom of Teamspeak.
– Do not play a game with another person if you are in a different gaming channel or someone else’s office who is not playing.
– Xfire
– Insure that the first part of your name is correct without any special characters, this is so your name shows up where it is suppose to. You may put any special characters in your name after the dash that follows the rank.
– Join the Soldiers of Legend Xfire clan for ease of communication and to see the newsletters.
– Promotions and Recruiting
– To recruit someone, fill out this sheet and create a topic on the forums. Have the new recruit register on the forums and post in your thread.

– All Recruits start out at Private
– Promotions come out with every newsletter. There is no other way to get promoted
– You will start to recieve promotions in the newsletter that comes out a month after your recruitment.
– Be patient while waiting for newsletters. It does not endear yourself to the Command Staff if you nag them at every opportunity.
– Newsletters
– Newsletters are published every month near the end of that month.
– They consist of a historical story, a list promotions, a list of new recruits, a list of MIA, a list of removals, a list of disciplinary actions, a list of events, the Legend of the month, and a note at the end.
– They are posted in both the forums and on the Xfire clan page.
– Discipline
– If you violate the Code of Conduct, you will be disciplined. Your punishment varies for the violation and the context of which it was carried out.
– Violating a minor rule on the forums, on Teamspeak, or In-Game will result in a temporary ban from which area the violation took place.
– For a larger violation, such as verbally assaulting someone, or repeated small violations, you will be temporarily removed from the clan, the time of which is determined by the severity.
– For a major violation, such as multiclanning or hacking, you will be removed from the clan.
Article VIII : Leave of Absences
Any member of the Soldiers of Legend who is going on Leave for a short while must post an announcement of the Leave of Absence (LOA) in the Forums. Failure to do so can result in removal of clan due to inactivity. Anyone who is going to be gone for over a month must post an Extended Leave of Absence (ELOA).
Article IX : Amendment Process
Any Amendment to this constitution must be authorized by both the Commanding Officer and the Executive Officer of the Soldiers of Legend. This amendment is then added to the Constitution and must be followed by every member.
